
Melissa Pence is the owner of the first awarded In Home Care 4u Franchise, located in Pullman, Washington. Melissa has an extensive background in caregiving and caregiving management as well as her own personal family experiences as well.
Melissa first heard of In Home Care 4u in 2021 through a caregiver who worked for a similar company Melissa was managing at the time, the caregiver also worked for a nearby In Home Care 4u location. Her employee would often compare her personal management style to the culture at In Home Care 4u.
It wasn't until years later that Melissa and Joleen met up for coffee to discuss what opportunities lay ahead for her through In Home Care 4u. The FDD wasn't yet formed, but Joleen had a vision for the future of this company and Melissa was all in to be a part of it. "I really aligned with the values." Pence recalls. "If you don't take care of your staff, you'll have a hard time running any company. That was what really stood out to me about In Home Care 4u."

Ann-Marie has a background in health care. Even though her career in finance took her in a different direction, caring for others has remained close to her heart. "I first met Joleen over zoom. Nothing related to Home Care." Ann-Marie had helped some of Joleen's friends to get better life insurance coverage for themselves and their families. It wasn't until later, when Joleen flew down to California for a financial services meeting in Pasadena, that Ann-Marie heard about what Joleen was building up in Idaho. "I had wanted to do the same thing here. So, I called her up to pick her brain on how to start things up, and the opportunity just fell in my lap." In Home Care 4u is a non-skilled in-home caregiving agency that provides compassionate and reliable care to seniors and individuals with disabilities in the comfort of their own homes. In Home Care 4u was founded in 2018 but in late 2025/ early 2026 In Home Care 4u is now an "emerging franchise".
Know that our entire Franchise model is built with supporting our owners in mind. You'll want to check your FDD for the most accurate and up to date information, but we offer support with owner onboarding, staff onboarding, HR, marketing, payroll, billing, and compliance. You will also be added into our private online community for owners and managers where we offer live zooms on HR and Marketing with ongoing support from our Home Office Franchise team along with incites, encouragement, and helpful input from other Franchisees.
