In Home Care 4u™ works with you to be compatible with a variety of funding sources.
Each location has specific licensing requirements to meet to check with your location to be sure your covered. All In Home care locations care for private pay clients, and most of our locations are also able to accept Veterans Affairs (VA) programs, and can help you navigate getting reimbursements from your Long-Term Care (LTC) Insurance providers.
Coverage and approved services vary by program. VA and LTC insurance plans typically cover only essential personal care and safety-related support outlined in an approved care plan.
VA requires preauthorization and a referral for ADLs that must be incorporated into your care plan. They also restrict tasks such as driving clients. (Even to a dr apt.)
LTC insurance varies carrier to carrier as well as policy to policy on what they will and won't cover and how much they cover. Typically, if you provide your Service Record Report along with your invoices from us to your provider, you will be reimbursed for the care you receive in accordance to your policy. Some plans may require you to have a Dr. referral to get started.
Private pay services offer you the greatest flexibility and may include additional support such as companionship, pet care, leisurely outings, and other non-medical tasks that are not covered by VA or LTC insurance. Your local In Home Care 4u™ office can help review available options and determine the best fit based on your needs and eligibility.
Our caregivers assist with meal preparation, light cooking, and kitchen tasks to help clients eat safely and enjoy familiar routines. Support may include meal planning, food prep, cooking, clean up and ensuring meals are prepared in a way that reduces strain and risk.
“Once my caregiver with In Home Care 4u™ started helping with meal prep, I started baking again. It was getting too hard to stir things and dangerous to pull things out of the oven, but with her help-my church family and neighbors are getting loaves of my banana bread again.”
When eating becomes tiring, challenging, or impossible, our caregivers provide respectful assistance to help clients maintain proper nutrition while preserving dignity and independence. Support is always tailored to the client’s pace and preferences.
