Working with the Latah County team of caregivers means being supported by people who truly understand the community they serve.
Our caregivers live and work right here, building real relationships with clients and families based on trust, consistency, and familiarity. We take pride in matching clients with caregivers who not only have the right skills, but also the right heart. From helping with daily routines to simply being a steady, friendly presence, our Latah County caregivers are committed to helping seniors maintain dignity, independence, and quality of life in the place they call home.
At In Home Care 4u™, we hold our staff to high standards because our clients deserve nothing less. We expect our caregivers to lead with compassion, professionalism, reliability, and excellence in every interaction. That means showing up on time, communicating clearly, respecting client preferences, and following care plans with attention to detail. Just as importantly, we value the Christian principals of kindness, patience, and integrity.
Our caregivers are trusted partners in the lives of those we serve, and we support them with clear expectations, strong systems, and a culture that puts people first.

Being part of the community means showing up, not just during care visits, but throughout the year. In Home Care 4u™ proudly participates in local parades, town-day celebrations, veteran-honoring events, health fairs, job fairs and Moscow Chamber events, these moments allow us to stay connected to the people and communities we serve beyond the home.

Even near the end of life, moments of joy, independence, and connection still matter. At In Home Care 4u™, we focus on preserving quality of life by supporting what brings comfort, purpose, and dignity each day.
"It was exhilarating!" One client shared with our office after a trip to a local parking lot with his caregiver to enjoy some fresh air and exercise on his trike. -Image shared with permission.

Joleen Tietz, started In Home Care 4u™ in Latah County, back in 2018, out of a real need to care for own family. The demand in our area was soon apparent as others reached out to inquire about help at home for friends and loved ones before she even started advertising the agency.
"I'm thankful for this journey and all the families we've been able to care for along the way. What started from my own need to care for my father the right way, grew into something bigger than I ever could have initially imagined."
(Meal Prep + Assistance with Eating)
In Latah County, home-cooked meals are more than nutrition, they’re part of daily life and community.
Our caregivers help with meal preparation, light cooking, and mealtime support so clients can continue enjoying familiar foods safely. Whether it’s baking, preparing simple meals, or helping when hands get tired, support is always focused on comfort, dignity, and independence.
“With a little help in the kitchen, I’ve been able to keep cooking for myself and even share goodies with others again. That means everything to me.”
— Moscow, Idaho client
(Dressing + Toileting + Transfers)
As mobility needs change, having trusted support makes all the difference. Our caregivers assist clients in Moscow, Troy, and Deary with everyday personal care tasks such as dressing, toileting, and safe transfers. Support is provided respectfully and at the client’s pace, helping reduce fall risk while preserving confidence at home.

“Dad says he likes his caregiver and doesn't feel rushed or embarrassed. Him feeling supported and safe— that’s a huge relief for me and my family.”
— Moscow, rural area client's daughter
(Housekeeping + Laundry + Bedding)
In smaller North Idaho communities, staying in your own home matters. Our caregivers help maintain a clean, comfortable living space through light housekeeping, laundry assistance, and regular bedding changes.
These small supports help prevent overexertion and keep the home safe and welcoming.
“I can relax knowing my home is taken care of without wearing myself out trying to do it all alone.”
— Deary, Idaho client
Whether you need to make a Costco run to the Valley down in Clarkston, or you need to get into Moscow for a trip to WinCo or Safeway, our caregivers can assist most clients with grocery shopping and essential errands, helping clients maintain access to fresh food and household necessities without the burden of traveling alone.
VA does not allow us to transport clients, but we can help to arrange transportation and accompany client on grocery trips.
“I don't like to order food on the computer. My daughter was doing that for me for a while but she got me the Kellog's raisin bran instead of my Post brand and I'd just rather go do the shopping on my own. It's better this way and my caregiver helps me."
— Juliaetta, Idaho client
(Companionship + Leisurely Outings)
Connection matters, especially in rural communities. Through private pay services, caregivers offer companionship and accompany clients on leisurely outings, whether that’s a short drive, visiting friends, or enjoying seasonal traditions like looking at Christmas lights. These moments help clients stay engaged and connected to the community they love.
“Getting out of the house again, even just for a drive, made me feel like myself.”
— Troy, Idaho client
(Supervision + Night Supervision)
For families in Latah County, peace of mind is just as important as physical care. Caregivers provide supervision and overnight support to help ensure safety, assist as needed, and offer reassurance during evening and nighttime hours.
“Knowing someone is there overnight helps us all sleep better.”
— Moscow, Idaho family member
Our caregivers can assist your loved one with exercises as long as they're prescribed or approved exercises to help maintain strength, flexibility, and mobility as outlined in the care plan. If you don't have an outline for what exercises you should be doing, talk to your primary care provider or PT.
“Having someone hold me accountable is what makes it happen.”
Optional routine care, caregivers can assist with non-medical wellness observations when requested such as:
“It makes going to the doctor for checkups easier. Dad always forgot to write down and track his blood pressure and now we have it recorded regularly."
